Sep 4 - Sep 5 Left Denver in late afternoon on Sat and got into Congress, AZ about 9:30PM on Sunday night.
Aug 20 - Aug 22 Spent the weekend back in Leadville, CO for the Trail 100 (miles) race. I helped at the Fish Hatchery aid station. I did traffic control and we parked about 1000 cars, once in the morning and then again in the evening/late night. We started at 6AM on Sat and finished at 3AM on Sun.
Aug 13 Moving to a friends place in Brighton, CO. and he just happens to have a private lake. This might just be the right place for my kayak.
Aug 6 - Aug 8 Headed to Burro Days in Leadville, CO for the weekend to visit friends and help with the burro race on Sunday and the parade on Saturday.

Jun 26 - Jun 27 Volunteered for the MS 150 Bike Ride from Denver to Ft. Collins and back.

Jun 17 Arrived back in Denver from the wildfire assignment in TX.
Jun 12 Deployed to the CUTOFF wildfire in TX about half way between Carlsbad, NM and El Paso, TX near the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The ICP is at Dell City, TX.
Jun 7 Had jury duty today in Golden, CO. I got picked as a group of 12, but then they only needed 6 for the actual trial, so I was excused.
May 18 Made it to Denver and decided to stay in South Park Mobile Home Park on S. Federal. Will probably be here all summer.
May 17 - May 18 I will be traveling the next 2 days from Moab, UT to Denver, CO.
May 15 Drove back to Arches Natl Park and did the 3 mile (round trip) hike to Delicate Arch. Drove around and did another 1 mile hike to the back side of Delicate Arch.
May 14 Went into Moab and did some tourist stuff, looking at all the shops. Ate supper at Zak's pizza place.
May 13 Drove over to Canyonlands Natl Park and did a couple of short hikes there.
May 12 Drove into Moab, UT and met some friends for supper at the Moab Brewery. They had buffalo wings for 15 cents each.
May 10 - May 17 Moved camp to a more remote site with a beautiful view. Located about halfway between Arches and Canyon Land Natl Parks about 17 air miles NW of Moab, UT.
May 9 Did a driving tour and a couple of short hikes in Arches Natl Park in Moab, UT.
May 8 Drove to Dead Horse State Park and toured around looking at the beautiful scenery. This is where Thelma and Louise died.
May 7 Did a little more exploring today and found several spots that might be good. My friends Cathy and Ron arrived this afternoon and we will discuss wheather to stay here or more to another site. Maybe more exploring tomorrow.
May 6 - May 10 Camped about 16 miles north of Moab, UT. Did a little exploring this afternoon looking for a different spot to camp.
May 5 Made it to Price, UT. The winds got a little gusty so I stopped early for the day and night. I did leave early this morning 6AM so it was still a 7 or 8 hour drive.
May 4 Leaving Reno, NV early this morning and headed east on I-80 in the direction of Salt Lake City, UT. Made it to Wendover, UT and was tired so stopped for the night.
Apr 29 - May 3 Drove the last 100 miles from Hawthorne, NV to Reno this morning with only 10-20 mph winds and a few snow showers along the way. Camped at the Grand Sierra RV park next to the casino for the EMCOMM convention on Fri/Sat/Sun.
Apr 28 Drove from Boulder City, NV today and stopped in Hawthorne, NV for the night really windy today. 20mph with gusts to 40.
Apr 26 - Apr 28 Headed to Reno, NV. Stopped in Boulder City for the night and may have to wait out the 40-60 mph winds predicted for tomorrow.

Feb 17 Went to Algodones, Mexico with friends Bill and Bonnie to get glasses for bill and get mine repaired. We had lunch in the plaza and listened to music.
Feb 15 - Feb 18 We have arrived on the east side of Yuma and will be staying with some Canadian friends Bill and Bonnie at their place until Thursday afternoon.
Feb 14 There is an indian casino about 10 miles from where we are camped, so we went in and had a nice supper and then played the slots.
Feb 4 - Feb 15 We are camped along Ogilby Rd about 15 miles NW of Yuma but still in CA.
Feb 3 - Feb 4 Left this morning and am now camped at "the slabs" or slab city just east of Niland, CA.
Jan 31 - Feb 3 Left Palm Spring, CA and headed to the Salton Sea where we are camped for the evening. We are 215 feet below sea level.

Jan 8 - Jan 9 Headed to Glendale (Phoenix) for a hamfest on Saturday. Then headed to Quartzsite, AZ for a month. Will be attending a ham (amateur radio) get together of maybe 200 hams and at the same time an RV gathering of maybe 1,000,000 people camped out in the desert.
